RoadRunner's homepage...

04-01-17. A loong time without updates and I doubt anyone is reading this now ;)

00-10-08. Been a wild since any update... sorry :(
Not too much to update on the 'puter related part of my life, still running the good old classic Athlon @ 750 MHz. The most suitable speed since I don't need that last piece of performance but wants a little bit closer to a quiet system.
Oh yeah, one thing is new... has a much nicer connection to the net now, no more modem for me :) Only 512 kb in the best case but hey, a lot better than some V90 modem and I don't have to pay for the connected time ;)

00-01-20. Mostly updating the Athlon pages right now, those pages are on Swedish so for those of you that can't read my wonderful language, well ;)
Working on the FAQ and trying to find good vendors here in Sweden that actually sells the stuff we want, that isn't easy....

00-01-14. Athlon rocks! Recieved my FreeSpeed Pro GFD and the 500 is now running @ 772 MHz stable. This baby clocks like a dream :)

99-12-21. A final update before christmas....
Didn't believe myself that I would get myself an Athlon system this year since the mobo's and overclocking possibilities were a little bit behind, but as usually it is very easy to change opinion as soon as you get a good offer ;) Don't think I'll get it in time before christmas, but soon enough I'll get a sample of FreeSpeed which is one of those cards giving you an easy overclocking option for Athlon systems.
So, once getting this option, I immediately ordered an Athlon 500 MHz with an Asus K7M. Recieved those parts a few days ago, took me some time to get a few things sorted out and maybe I'll need to get a different mouse since this one seems to be naughty with this mobo :(
But, the speed is awsome, and although I could've been even luckier, the core is actually a 600 MHz which should mean that at least 600 MHz is a sure thing, hopefully 700 with some voltage tweaks ;-)

99-11-10. November is usually the first winter month in this part of Sweden, but this year it's still raining instead of snowing :( Actually it would all get a lot brighter and nicer with some snow now, this time of year is dark enough anyway up here...
On a few sidenotes, the foot is finally feeling better again so at least I'm able to start running a little bit again. It took a month until I dared to run again, in the beginning it was a dead foot but slowly got better and better and right now it feels good :)
Computer related, got a G400 Max yesterday and it installed without any bummer in my system. Yet, a K6-III isn't the best option to run this video card with and I do believe that Matrox has some more work to do on their 3DNow! optimizations... Speed feels good but falls behind in lower resolutions, like 800x600. Maybe I'll go grab an Athlon and let this video card have something more powerful to play with, but still awaiting the right mobo's. Asus K7M, yeah but only overclocks the bus with 10 MHz and I'm not desperate yet ;)
